My answer is going to be somewhat different than a mainstream answer. I believe and I know that US Senator Bernie Sanders is an excellent leader and would be one of the best presidents we have ever had here in America. He is of, by, and for the people and has consistently had the same message for over 4 decades. He wants to run America with love and compassion-which can be seen with this Fight for $15, the Green New Deal, Fair Housing-Landlords cannot increase rent as much as they have been, homelessness, taking care of our veterans, and Medicare for All. Health care is not a privilege-it is a human right and everyone should have access to quality medical care here in America. Bernie Sanders has been making great strides in all of his plans and in fact, he has changed the democratic playing field to be more of, by, and for the people.
The qualities Bernie Sanders had that identify him as a wonderful leader include-compassion, empathy, honesty, integrity, inspiring millions of others, commitment, he is a great communicator, accountability, creative and innovative, He is bringing in the younger generations and young people are getting involved in the political process. He has already done so much for our country and he truly cares about bringing back a real democracy to America so that the working class-the majority of Americans can live with the dignity they deserve.
I would have to compare Bernie Sanders with others in politics. Most of the other candidates are being backed by billionaires-when you are backed by many billionaires-you are beholden to them. Bernie is not beholden to anyone except his grassroots donors and the average donation is $18-he has made history. To date, he has received 4 million contributions. The other Democratic candidates as well as Republican candidates are nowhere near this number. Why? Because they all exhibit a level of corruption and will not be good leaders because the billionaire class 'owns' them and it will be business as usual. These candidates do not have compassion, real empathy, a consistent record without wavering in over 40 plus years, nor have they walked the walk-they only talk. Bernie Sanders walked with his brothers and sisters and was arrested due to standing up for people of color back in the 1960s.
When you know someone is a good leader, they are leading from their heart as well as from their brain. Others are leading because it serves them in some way. Bernie Sanders is in a class of his own.
