Nowadays, when googling up the definition of adventure, you will easily get a general answer like “an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity”. Basically, that’s more or less encapsulated it. People often think about adventure as an exhilarating experience that is with some potential for physical danger. Adventures may be in the main, reckless and dangerous outdoor activities such as skydiving, scuba diving, cliff jumping or extreme sports.
Adventure is hard to define but can only be experienced personally. In my experience, adventure is all about seeing the world from a different angle, even if you’ve seen it many times before. It is taking experiences regardless knowing the upshot and you choose to face it anyway. Adventure is going out of your comfort zone to open yourself up to the new experiences, knowledge and beauty that’s given.

To me, the best adventure of my life is to marry my dream man who I met in my first motorbike trip to explore Eastern Vietnam and we trekked to the easternmost point of Vietnam, Doi Cape. It is located at the Hon Gom peninsula, Van Thanh village, Van Ninh town, Khanh Hoa province, where receives the very first sun rays of Vietnam. We fell in love after the trip and it opened up many other adventures together, such as riding a motorbike through Vietnam in three weeks, trekking to Ta Nang – Phan Dung, the most beautiful trail through 3 provinces (Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan), and hiking on mountains of South Vietnam. He showed me a whole new world far outside my element that I experience myself the most. That I see and feel who I really am, the most when I’m with him. By that way, we exchange ideas and grow together to become the better version of ourselves.
On the side note, I wasn’t an adventurous person before all these things happened. I had asthma all my life and I could get tired easily by climbing up 2 floors of stairs. I started to practice yoga in 2015 and decided to join that motorbike trip with a brunch of strangers met online and my life was changed completely in the best way I’ve never imagined before. Since then, I no longer want to live my sanctuary. I want to be inspired and inspire others. Break routine, do things differently, venture out of your comfort zone and make every day of your life an adventure.
