My study plan hopes to assist me to analyze my strength and weakness and show me how develop my skills and knowledge. During this program, I have experienced many things; sometimes everything went perfect but sometimes I came across with difficulties. All of the tasks I was given assisted me to analyze my strength and weaknesses.
My weakness is that I procrastinate due to my self-esteem and tend to take things easy. I always believe I can do my work successfully each time I want and I have no problem delaying it. On the other hand, when I work with others, this happens when I feel that things do not work out well in the group. Doing this does not create so many problems when I work alone, but, when I work with others, it can be so problematic and annoying for them. I believe I would score better marks, if I did not delay my assignments. Avoiding procrastination could enable me work in unity with my friends in the group.
One of my strengths is that I am self-confident and near perfect in what I do. I always try to achieve my goals without needing support from anyone. I always do all my assignments by myself without getting help from my fellow students or my friends. I always try to solve my academic problems alone and this makes me feel happier, because at the end, I usually achieve success. I also get many compliments from my teachers about my confidence and success. Growing up, I am always confident and believe in myself.
I am ambitious. This is a vital strength for me since I was a child. I always wanted to be the best at all I do and never gave up on anything. While I was in high school, my aim was to go to university in the UK, complete my bachelor’s degree and set up a business afterwards. My ambition made me leave my family back in Nigeria and came to the UK to study. At the start of this program, I had some difficulty in grasping the rudiments of the course. I read books, watched related academic program, studied some books for academic writing and within some months, I realized how much I improved academically and now I do not have problem doing these. I hope I will be where I want to be in some years, because my ambition will assist me a lot.
Researching is another good strength I possess because I am interested, curious and persistent to seek answers to unanswered questions. I acquire knowledge of the subject matter and I am also patient and ambitious. I read various books and articles, searched several websites and visited the libraries to get what I wanted. I never gave up on researching. As a result of all the hard work I did, I got very good feedback from my tutor. I will try to build up my research skills more, going forward.
Editing is another strength I possess. During this program, I did series of practice in the area of editing and I know that my editing skill will be valuable for me in the future.
The assignments I did were given by my tutors. These assignments provided me with invaluable knowledge. I began with a blank knowledge and now I am able to complete all the assignments for this course. I learnt how to do research, write essays, academic reports, editing, paraphrasing and referencing and all these helped to develop some of my strengths.
My study plan has allowed me to see how I spend my time and ensures that I am setting aside enough time outside of class to complete assignments, review and retain the information that I am learning.
I did not change my study plan because I am confident it is a suitable plan that will aid me to complete my assignment. I also do not hope to use a different time management technique tool in the future because the one I have been using is feasible for all my assignments.
In this study plan, I explored my personal strengths and weakness and what I hope to achieve from my assignments by the end of the program. I hope I have chosen the most suitable tasks for me. Performing these tasks will enable me acquire responsibility to plan and complete my assignments independently using my communication, research and skills. I will work hard to complete all my tasks and achieve all my goals.
