Study Plan for Master Studies
First of all I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to write a few words about my desired program and my future prospects.
I am Rimsha Nazir, a senior Chemistry student of University of Gujrat, Pakistan. I am braving my graduation in Inorganic Chemistry by the end of this June.
Introduction of my Academic Background:
I have gained sound background knowledge of Chemistry from my matriculation (Grade 9 & 10) with A+ grade and Intermediate education (Grade 11 & 12) with A grade. In 2015, I joined University of Gujrat, Pakistan in order to pursue my Bachelor’s qualification. Presently, I am in the last semester with the CGPA of 3.33/4. My major is Inorganic chemistry and I have also studied organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, along with others, as minor subjects. Chemistry has perennially appealed for me as it provides understanding of our physical world and is a subject of great diversity, scope and universality as well. I have done my Final Year Thesis Project on making and analyzing environmentally friendly Biodegradable Plastic using biopolymer (starch). My years of study in chemistry and have an interest in doing a research in developing new functional compounds and materials led me to arrive at the conclusion to pursue a career in inorganic chemistry.
My cooperative and friendly nature has won me many friends. My pleasant communication is a blessing indeed which brings homage to me. As a student, I am an active participant in my academic and extracurricular activities. I am a very motivated person with goal setting, time management and prior skills that help me achieve what I aim to. Apart from this I always feel enthusiastic to meet people belonging to divergent cultures. I like to hear their stories about their traditions and norms. The social gathering gives me the courage to cope with the various situations which may comfort me in new environment while studying inland or abroad. I have a creative soul and zeal to work in the field of chemistry or science. Thus I make both informative scientific content (images and videos) and humorous posts and by sharing them on social media accounts I interact with the people worldwide.
Study Plan in China:
I would like to apply for the Master’s Degree in Inorganic Chemistry because it is my ardent desire to study and research in an international field. I anticipate developing both personally and professionally from an international experience. It will boost me to acquire deeper theoretical as well as practical knowledge of my subject. The master program in Inorganic Chemistry will allow me to become immersed in technology development, for example, molecular electronics that allow electronic devices to grow smaller using fewer elements harmful to nature, catalysts that allows industries to produce more and pollute less, plastics that are lighter and stronger yet biodegradable. My research will be focused on the development of new and better materials for climate and environmentally-friendly energy technology.
The total length of MS program comprises on two years. Presumably, the time arrangement of MS program in Chemistry is listed as follow.
First Year of MS:
I would like to put forth my efforts by harnessing my capabilities in studying the core courses which will be based on descriptive inorganic chemistry, attending seminars and taking active part in all the discussions that will be held under supervision of my professor. At the end of the year I will start doing preliminary research and try to set my direction on research proposal.
Second Year of MS:
By the start of the year, I will finish my research proposal under the helpful guidance of my research advisor. Following my research proposal, I will carry out my research plan, perform experiments, analyze the results and make necessary modifications. At the mid of the year I will finish most of my graduate research work. Finally, I will concentrate on my graduate dissertation and degree defense.
My long term career goal is to become a scientific officer of Chemistry. After the completion of master’s qualification in China, I would like to return to Pakistan and wish to work in Atomic Energy Commission Pakistan so that I may achieve my goal of research work as a scientist and contribute myself in strengthening my dear homeland. Aside from this I would also like to take higher qualification and do PhD to become a Scholar Doctor in the field of Inorganic Chemistry.
Why do I choose to study in the China:
The experience of studying in China is more than just attending a school in a foreign country. With its cosmopolitan cities and small towns, China offers a variety of cultural experiences to international students. Bringing together different cultures, religions, people, lifestyles and definitely different cuisines, with its unique location. Also, Chinese culture and people are extremely diverse and multicultural, consisting of 56 different ethnicities. Being able to immerse myself within these culture and customs, I’ll visualize the world in a new way and making myself all the more open-minded while becoming a global citizen.
China is home to world’s top ranked universities offering a wide range of courses in all fields for all students and assures quality of education. The official educational certificates awarded by Chinese universities are internationally recognized because of their excellence. Graduates from Chinese universities are highly welcomed worldwide.
Another reason of choosing China is Pak-China friendship. China is a great friend to Pakistan and always sticks with Pakistan through thick and thin. As friendly neighbors, China always promotes Pakistan’s development and firmly supports Pakistan in safeguarding its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
China is one of the safest countries in the world and the Chinese are known for being friendly and hospitable to foreigners
