The more advances they use, the more advantage the athletes may have. The spirit of sportsmanship is to compete in a fair situation not enhanced by drugs. If doping is accepted, how about the use of artificial implant performance machines, oxygenators to enhance pulmonary capacity, etc. Competition will no longer rely on humane natural strength and endurance, but science and medicine.
