Richardson explains a horrific story that gets spilled about Planned Parenthood. The practice of partial-birth abortion is horrifically abusive to a live human being. People have told many terrible stories about abortions in the world. So, this should warn or make the public aware of this process and how it is not all sweet and pretty, and instead is incredibly gruesome. Johnston talks about how no matter how many people someone kills, it is still murder. God's word states this, and He makes it clear that no matter what circumstance a woman finds herself in, God does not say to murder a defenseless baby. This should encourage women who get pregnant from rape or incest to avoid abortion. The Bible says that all sins are equal and this also applies to abortion. Aborting a baby is wrong and should not be an option because adoption is a much better option. Johnston continues, stating, “Despite the hard situations that women can get into there should be no exception to having an abortion. No one should change their morals and here are two facts that should not be ignored. First, a baby's life starts at fertilization. Second, it is never right to purposefully kill a guiltless baby” (Johnston). Johnston says in the article to not forget what morals lead to life and keep believing these two ideas because that is correct and no matter what, killing a baby is unimaginable and completely awful. People have no good reason on this earth to kill a baby when they have the option of adoption. All in all, aborting a baby is never the best option; there may be heart-wrenching scenarios, but it is still not acceptable.

However, the opposing viewpoint believes that abortion is right in all situations and is empowering to women. Pro-Choice proponents argue that abortion is a fantastic option for women who have unwanted pregnancies or are in hard situations and cannot raise a child. Many pro-choice communities are even sometimes known for being pro-abortion only for the money, inferring that these people do not want to protect their families and children. (Mathewes-Green) The pro-choice society believes that abortion is acceptable and in fact, does not consider that it will not protect families and children but also harming them. Many also believe that Pro-choice just want the money because the abortion process is expensive even though they kill a child. These people only care about the money of the job.

The child in the mom's stomach should not be killed because of what the mom or dad did; it is not fair to take someone's life just because someone else made a mistake. Women struggle through some situations where abortion is more understandable, but still not the best option. If the mom is not in the right or best place to take care of the baby, the baby should still not be aborted. The mom has other options, such as adoption, that should be considered. No matter what, taking away a life is always wrong no matter the circumstances. God makes everyone for a purpose, and babies should have the chance to live the life God wanted them to live. “We also must stop thinking about abortion in terms of pregnancy. Too often people harp on pregnancy and forget all about what comes next. Getting through the pregnancy isn't nearly the dilemma that raising a child for 18 years is. In most families, marriage lightens the load, but for some people that isn't the best solution. A neglected option is an adoption, which can free the woman to resume her life while giving the child a loving home” (Mathewes-Green). Adoption is a fantastic idea if the parents cannot adequately care for their child. Although some parents might not want to put their child up for adoption, this option is so much better than aborting the baby. Also, adoption gives parents who cannot have children themselves the option of adopting a child. If a parent is deciding between adoption or abortion, adoption is the right choice for not only the baby but also the family, because the mom will not have to carry the mental burden of aborting her child. All in all, abortion is not the right answer to an unwanted child and adoption is always an option for these children.

Abortion is a controversial subject and has many different viewpoints, but it is not something that should be allowed in the U.S. Abortion is hard to talk or even think about, but partaking in it is not the best option for anyone; adoption is always a better option.
