Summing up my education was the most challenging task for me. I have a business background and I wanted to have a dream to study MBA not only because I’ve studied BBA previously but MBA is a sophisticated degree. I have always dreamed of eliminating poverty and illiteracy among Pakistani women. To achieve my dream I need strong interpersonal, managerial, and critical skills. These universities are accredited by AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS, and CMI. Also, the course outline provided by these universities is a perfect match for my goals.

I chose MBA from the UK because it has very high standards when it comes to language and business. The history of an MBA started in the UK as it was created by an English man. These courses will help in developing emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and how to deal with people effectively. Two international trips will give me global business exposure while enhancing my negotiating, and problem-solving skills. The chance of being a member of AMBA and CMI during my MBA will give me access to a range of study tools.

Leeds as a city is a fusion of traditions and modernization. The campus is close to the vibrant commercial city center because studying far away you need a surrounding where you can be comfortable. Leeds has a research-led, practiced-focused MBA which will give an immense learning experience. Apart from course structure, international tours, and workshops it has a diverse alumni network of almost 25000 students belonging to 140 countries, and being of this network will give global support and an edge to practice and learn in a competitive world.

Studying MBA from the best of the best universities was one of my dreams and I can only complete it through this award. I am certain that completing this degree from the UK is going to bring a lot of changes in me and it is also going to open many doors for my career. One of my objectives is to share the techniques that I will learn during my Chevening journey with my countrymates.

Writing my daily routine and what I experience throughout the day is one of my hobbies. I would like to take advantage of this and after coming back to Pakistan, my plan is to publish a book in which I want to share my experience and feelings about Chevening's journey. I want people to know each and every little detail, how I prepared myself, the networks that I am going to build, and how it will bring change in me. I want them to get motivated through it and pursue their dream of studying outside their homeland.

I belong to a society where people still think that a woman can never succeed; she can never support her family. Man is responsible and only he should be given the chance to achieve great things with this mindset many women out there who have a spark in them to achieve something great fails and with their dreams shattered they stick to their household chores. My biggest goal is to change the thinking of my society. I am planning to do this within one year after coming back by joining Chevening Alumni Network and starting a campaign for women. I will take advantage of my networks by doing live shows through News Channels and publishing my story in newspapers, creating a whole new series with Kanwal Ahmed, and doing seminars in my college and university.

MBA is a degree that teaches all those skills that are required to contribute to a whole organization. Within 5 to 10 years I see myself running my own business Interior Designing because Interior Designing is my passion and with those skills, I would like to use them in my own business. Chevening doesn’t favor capitalism but starting my own business is not just fulfilling my dream. The platform provided by Chevening will allow me to meet people from different nationalities and it will help me to learn their culture, values, and tradition. I will implement all that learning in my field, which will not only attract the Pakistani community but also minorities living in Pakistan, thus creating more revenue which will eventually increase the economy of Pakistan. Side by side I would like to take part in the contributions done by the UK, by being a part of The Citizens Foundation (TCF). TCF is contributing to UK projects and I would like to be part of it by creating a partnership with them and volunteering at the Summer Camp of young enthusiasts aged between 16 to 23 and providing them with every knowledge of the Chevening community which will broaden their way of thinking for continuing their education through different platforms.

Learning modern techniques through Chevening in the UK, I would like to be the contributor to one of the UK projects ‘Women’s Income Growth and Self-Reliance Programme’ where I want to teach modern techniques and skills to women having low-income backgrounds and allow them to be the part of my business. It is going to give them a platform to engage in income-generating activities and eliminate poverty, thus creating more opportunities for women to learn.

Through this entire Chevening journey and its network, I want to motivate women to not only fulfill their basic needs but also have the desire to achieve something bigger. I want the women of my community to shine brighter because this part of my community is always being neglected.
