Sports are healthy activities. With time, the way of playing games has changed a lot. As in early time, players use their strength and energy to win any game but now most players are using steroids or drugs to win the game. Many people think that steroids should be legally allowed in sports. I disagree with this statement because it can damage someone’s whole career, health, and bad for the growth of the country also.
In the first place, it can cause many diseases such as taking steroids that can create a problem of mood disturbance in players such as aggression, depression. It is common to see aggressiveness in players while playing games such as boxing. It is bad for the player itself and also for other players. Moreover, it can damage the central nervous system which can become a problem of psychosis later. Furthermore, steroids can give birth to many more diseases for example:- cancer, liver diseases, kidney disease, nose bleeding, insomnia, and many more health illnesses.
In the second place, it can affect the whole country and its reputation. As we know, these days sports play a great role in the progress of any country and it builds relationships among their other countries. Sportsmen are a role model for today’s youth. If they are taking drugs then the whole generation will follow them and can damage the future of the country. It will increase diseases and poverty in the country. Moreover, it will affect the upcoming generations. Maybe their children will not perfect physically or mentally.
On the other side, some people believe that steroids are good for players because it helps to increase stamina, strength, and body growth. Of course, this is right, it helps to build body and stamina but it will damage the body from the inner side. It helps to make them strong very quickly but actually, it’s killing them from the inside.
In conclusion, I want to review my point of view that taking steroids in sports should be banned because it is broken the real talent of athletes and building up fake players. Moreover, it is the cause of many diseases and bad effects of today’s generation and country growth. It should be banned as soon as possible by the government because it is stealing the main focus of these games. These games are known for healthy activities. Earlier people used to play games to keep himself fit but now they are playing games to win and earn and for this, they are using these drugs which are harmful to their health and the upcoming generation.
