Speeches of FDR and Bush
In the speeches of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and President George W. Bush,
both speeches share a common theme. The theme is nationalism and that shows
through the words both presidents used. Both speeches talked about how
America will not be broken by acts of terrorism on our land. The reason for
delivering these speeches is to show not only the nation but the world that
America is not one to be messed with. Through death, pain and fear, we will fight
back for our home. These speeches proved to that nation that the higher powers
will not just sit back and let this happen to the nation.
These speeches proved to the world that we will rise up and fight for our land and
to bring peace to the people that lost their lives through these horrible acts of
terrorism. What impressed me the most about these speeches is how similar they
are. Both speeches talked about the acts of terrorism and what was going to be
done about this. In the George W. Bush speech, he brought God into the speech
and for a lot of people it shows that god is on our side and will be there with us in
our hardest battles.
