- Then calculate the area of the field in square feet: 360 ft x 159.9999 ft. This will
get you 57596.4 ft^2.
- Finally, convert area in square feet to acres with the conversion factor 1 acre=
43560 ft^2. The answer should be 1.3 acres.
6) When performing a multiplication or division calculation, significant figures in the
calculated result are dictated by the significant figures of the measured numbers. The
calculated result should have the same number of significant figures as the measured
number in the calculation with the fewest significant figures.
7) Perform the calculation, rounding your answer to the proper number of significant
figures.

14) Knowing that one day is 24 hours, how many days is 68.8 hours?
A: 68.8 hrs x 1 day/24 hrs = 2.87 days
15) How many liters is 91.4 mL?
A: 91.4 mL x 1 x 10^-3 L/1mL= 0.0914 L
