What exactly is cyberbullying? “Cyber bullying is when a child or teen is threatened, harassed, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, using the internet”. There are many leading factors that may cause children to turn to cyberbullying. Cyberbullying can cause severe emotional health issues. There are many crucial signs to look for when trying to detect a victim of cyberbullying. People are trying their best to stop cyberbullying from kids nowadays. Cyberbullying may seem like nothing since there is no physical contact, but it can have a big impact on someone's life for a long time.

For years, experts have been trying to find the leading cause of cyberbullying. Anger, and revenge, often motivate people to cyberbully through technology nowadays. Many cyberbullies thrive off the reaction that they get from their victims, but they don't understand what they are doing to them, and that it could hurt them. When getting cyberbullied the best thing to do is ignore it and go to a trusted adult that will help this problem be stopped. Unlike traditional bullying, cyberbullying can usually be documented because it is on some sort of social platform. Thus, this kind of bullying can be handled properly since there is proof it actually happened. With updated technology, it is practically impossible for cyberbullying to be 'deleted'. The evidence should be saved in case the bullying escalates. If the cyberbullying is having a significant impact on the victim, the victim should seek help. Sometimes the only thing that the victim needs is someone to listen to them. Another good way to stop the cyberbullying problem is to block the person that is being the bully. Whether the harassment is in an app, texting, or comments, the victim should do themselves a favor and block the person immediately. A good way to prevent cyberbullying is to not share passwords. If a password is given to the wrong person very bad things can happen, and you wouldn't want that to happen. Cyberbullying may never come to an end, but there are ways to prevent it from happening.

Cyberbullying can happen over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and many more websites that an average person uses daily. Cyberbullying began when social media first started to become part of our life. Bullying often occurs in people who don’t know how to control their emotions. They feel powerless so they think they could do anything they wanted. By using cyberbullying, the kids feel their power over people, which makes them feel good about themselves. Most cyberbullies act out in school or at home and can cause problems in sporting events, mainly anywhere. Cyberbullying is a form of abuse and needs to be ended soon as possible. Why should kids have to be put through this? They deal with enough stress and drama throughout their high school careers, they don’t need to fear coming to school and having to come face to face with people who always bully them in any kind of way there is. Kids are afraid to admit to being bullied because they fear they will be made fun of for getting help. Overall 40% of kids have been cyberbullied, and only 20% of all kids will ever report it.

Cyberbullying prevention is the need of the future. It needs to be monitored and put an end to. There are multiple ways to take away cyberbullying. First, always teach your children to never share personal information online or in person. Most importantly, never share your internet password and account details with anyone that asks or try's to get them. Keep all this information to yourself. The main thing is to not click on sketchy links, they may be scams or something else bad. Once you have kids later on in the years you should teach your kids about cyberbullying and make them aware of what’s wrong and right and that is always okay to ask someone to for help. We may prevent cyberbullying by limiting the information we share online or by using apps safely with safe privacy.

Popular teens bully because they see it as a way to stay popular or to make themselves like a big men. Cyberbullies show people that they have a lot of power and can get away with doing hurtful things. A lot of the time this might be because they have been abused by someone that's been close to them and they feel that this is the way to boost their ego, get their confidence back, or get their anger out. To cyberbullies, hurting other people can seem funny or make you feel powerful. They also find it to be entertaining, If they have an audience or others laughing along because this can encourage them to carry on and keep being a bully.

Cyberbullies use ruthless ways to bully. It should be considered a crime because it is a form of harassment that causes victims to suffer feelings of depression, or also thoughts of suicide. The best 'punishment” for online bullying is the punishment should be just as harsh as the person they were bullying. They should be taught not to do this, but it just comes to see that the kids who are bullying are the kids that their parents didn't care what they did. Bullying can be prevented by not getting on the computer and letting someone bully you on it. Another one just ignores you altogether, don’t pay any attention to anyone that is trying to bully you.

Cyberbullying can affect anyone but is most involved since technology has been made. If we can carve out this awful behavior early in their age, they are unlikely to know how to prevent cyberbullying the right way. One main way schools help out kids or teach kids about cyberbullying is schools could teach about it or could have a program so that way the kids could know how to prevent it from happening when they get to high school. Eliminating cyberbullying will take a lot of hard effort and will not be fixed overnight. If the government is willing to accept that cyberbullying is a very big problem, in schools and outside of schools. Hopefully, the government would make laws that can be put in place to help stop this type of harassment from happening any more. Parents and schools should eliminate and stop this behavior when they see this happening. Parents should be aware of what kids are doing on the internet today day and let them know to be safe using the internet If you teach your kids young, then your kids would know what to not do and how to prevent Cyberbullying from happening when they get older.
