PHL 218 Short Paper №1

United Nations Intervention Kassie DuBay Southern New Hampshire University Professor Williams December 8, 2024 For as long as we have been in school we have been taught about WWII. During this war Germany was being invaded by the United Nations regarding that country preforming a genocide. They were having a genocide or extinction of Jews. Under the rule of Adolf Hitler, he made the people of Germany believe that Jews were a wearer and lesser group of people. He went around and grouped up all the Jews. No matter what they did for their society they were seen as nothing, and they were they reason for Germany getting so much of the blame for WWI. I bring up this moment in history because if this type of genocide were to happen again this could start the next war between that country and everyone that is part of the United Nations. In my opinion if this was ever to happen, the United Nations should have full access to invade the country with no questions asked by that leader in charge. Yes, that may be seen as an act of war, but we as people should not be allowed to put others in harm's way. I also think that it is against us as humans to allow this to happen in the first place. I believe that this is ethically acceptable or okay due to the history that we have been taught ever since we were little. I believe that we are taught this to ensure that this is something like what used to happen won't happen again. We don’t want history to repeat itself. If something is to happen like a genocide, then they should have full verity for anyone to intervene to stop it.
