Input and Output Operation in Python Open File Python has a built-in function open() to open a file, it returns something called object. Code statement : Myfile = open(filename, filemode) For Example : File name Demo.txt has value: Hello! Welcome to demofile.txt. This file is for testing purposes. Good Luck! To open it we can use Open () function f = open("demofile.txt", "r") print(f.read()) Close File Python has a close () method to close file. In some cases, due to buffering, changes made to a file may not show until you close file. Write() writes a specified text to the file. Where the specified text will be inserted depends on the file mode and stream position.
