Reflective Journal Template – Topic Reflection Topic Death With Dignity. What are the key points of contention on this topic? The legality or not of assisted suicide. Is the law of the state of Oregon ethical? Whether or not assisted suicide is morally justified. What side of the argument (stance) do you take on this topic? My side is clear and definitive about Assisted Suicide. I am against the laws that endorse and support the end of a person's life, which also limit the possibilities and refutations of the concept based on ethics. In addition, they also limit the other possible alternatives and solutions to these circumstances. What strong points does the other side of this topic have? Within the perspectives of approval of euthanasia and assisted suicide, it is interesting to analyze the declarations of the World Health Organization issued in 1990, in Geneva, in which he considered that “with the development of modern methods of palliative treatment, the legalization of euthanasia is not necessary. Furthermore, now that there is a viable alternative to a painful death, efforts should be concentrated on implementing palliative treatment programs, rather than giving in to pressures to legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide." What were the three most important things you took away from the topic? 1. Legality should be a problem in the laws of this characteristic that supports the end of Death in an unnatural way? 2.
