Derive the equations of motion for the 2 degree of freedom mass-spring- damper vibration system below. Draw correct free body and mass acceleration diagrams and write the equations of motion. You don't need to solve them. Show all of your work. 3. Find the v.(t) for the following electric circuit for v_i(t)=2.0*sin(5t) volts. 4. This is an open ended problem. Start with the standard closed-loop feedback block diagram. A quad copter uses gyro sensors to measure the yaw rate of the copter body (rotation about the vertical axis) and compensate for any disturbances. Without this feedback, the copter would not be able to hold a constant angular position. The copter produces yaw rotation by changing the speed of opposing motors to generate angular momentum. Draw a block diagram that illustrates the angular position feedback control. Include the desired and measured angular position signals. Include separate blocks for the gyro sensor, controller, propeller motors and the plant. For the plant the input is the prop speed differential and the output is the yaw rate (angular velocity) of the copter body. Start from the standard closed- loop feedback diagram we reviewed in class as a template. Be sure to label every block and signal and include units on each. You need not give any specific transfer functions, for example; just call the plant transfer function "Gplant".
