A Wall of Fire Rising – Literary Analysis: This story, A Wall of Fire Rising, is about kids really a family that want freedom. They are doing menial tasks, in order to guarantee survival, throughout this story they are talking about it amongst other things, like food, marriage, and moving. In the end, they learnt he true value of life and death has the son’s father dies and has he is being prepped for burial he reads his play. This play was fittingly entitled A Wall of Fire Rising. This is because, the world was full of sorrow and emptiness, and this is the miserable world they are being forced to live in. This affected me by showing, that we should be grateful to live in a country such as the USA. This beacon of freedom, allows to be free, pursue our own right, worship whoever we please and we are very well taken care of. In the story, some of life points risen, show that they were living in a time more closely related to the 1917-1991 era, when the Soviet Union was around. This is done when, Lili asked the boy what is on his mind and he repeated freedom while screaming at the top of his lungs.
