Ed may have been told that he would be insulated from any responsibility or legal liability, but in reality, this may not be an acceptable defense. In fact, Ed's involvement could result in serious consequences, including criminal prosecution and incarceration. Ed should "blow the whistle" on his boss, even if doing so puts his job in jeopardy. Should the resort's executive management be uncooperative, Ed would be wise to seek legal advice immediately. Case 3.3
