Problems and Solutions to Bullying

For example on page 141 she was imagining she was with fairies but then a kid suddenly came and spat on her. When bullying happens it can be very bad if you don’t tell an adult. Effects are not being able to sleep at night because you're scared that you will get physically hurt the next day by your bully Causing you to be sleepy most of the day. Other bad physical pains can be headaches, stomach aches and most of all nightmares or bad dreams and sadness. Bullies want power over you so when someone is bugging you everyday they probably want power from you which can make them a bully to you. Sometimes bullies are just by themselves with no group or friends they can talk to but with the author's experience the author had a bully in her group but no one else knew that she was a bully causing her to feel all alone and scared even her best friend didn’t believe her or even care! If you ignore the bully they might find a way to still annoy you or they might just give up. Sometimes when bullies give up on bullying you, they might bully someone else or want to be your friend. You do not have to accept it, but, if they are giving you kindness, like inviting you to birthday parties, then you should make them your friend and who knows? Maybe they will soon be your (new) best friend? Solutions/Advocacy Things schools could do to stop bullying Have classes for all students in each month that focus on mental health. Now for schools students should have a counselor they can talk to anytime. If students are getting bullied after school then they should have to have a neighborhood security guard for safety every day until 8:00 or later. They should also have security cameras so they can see who is drawing all of the bad behavior and report it to The Board of Education. Other ideas There are many ways to stop bullying but most of those ways end with asking a parent for help or even worse, more physical, or mental pain! The author experienced something different; she decided to leave the group hoping that others would leave too, knowing that they didn’t care what the bully did to them. She was now all alone with no one, not even her best friend because her best friend had moved to another school. That is one of the ways to stop your bully from bullying you but you might end up alone like the author was for a while but then she found new friends. Like I said in the beginning, most of these ways end up asking an adult for help. But there are some ways to stop bullying independently too though not that many. If you are too scared to tell an adult or speak up you should just ignore them by walking away or build up the courage to tell your teacher,parent/guardian.
