 Did your results match up with where you currently live or where you have lived before? My results matched up very close to where I lived which was New York and Georgia. I lived in New York for 13 years and Georgia for 12. The east coast is what was mostly red on the map. Highlighted were Columbus, GA, and Washington D.C. Not too far from where I lived and where I stay now. Were there any questions where you had no word for the item described? - What do you call the area of grass between the sidewalk and the road? I did not have a word for this because I did not worry much about it when living up north. I lived in an apartment and did not see this too often. When I moved down south, I just called it grass.  When answering the questions, were there any options listed that you’d never heard anyone use before? - How would you address a group of two or more people? Yinz, I never heard this word before. I used to always use you guys to describe more than one person but now I got so used to using y’all.   What does this quiz tell you about different dialects and cultures within the US? This quiz tells me that everywhere has a bigger population of different types of people. The USA is very diverse.  Does your use of language feel more “right” or “normal” than others? If so, why do you think this is? I do not think there is a right or normal use of language. Just different tones and accents. Just like languages. A different way of saying things.
