Final Writing Plan My idea of a topic would be Abraham Lincoln assassination would this topic be credible and relevant for my research essay? The significant of this event would be that if this assassination of Abraham Lincoln didn’t happen then there would be change in the history today. Research Question: I would like to learn more about why Abraham Lincoln was assassination. Search terms that I have used in my research so far include Abraham Lincoln, 1809-1865, assassination, sectionalism, political crimes, shooting, gunshot, murder. For my historical event analysis, I have chosen to focus on the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. According to observers, Lincoln’s assassination made a change on the political views of the future president’s security and tactics. In looking over Lincoln’s assassination, I will try to recreate a viewpoint to make an understanding of Lincoln’s assassination. Specifically, I will try to answer the following research question: What was the purpose of Abraham Lincoln assassination? Other research questions I will try to answer is What was John Wilkes Booth involvement? Was there a motived beheld Lincoln’s assassination? Search terms that I have used in my research so far include Abraham Lincoln-(1809-1865), assassination, sectionalism, political crimes, shooting, gunshot, murder. My viewpoints need to take in consideration of this time. One secondary source is Ford, John Butler 2015. The Lincoln Assassination, New World City, Inc. 2015, Rockville, MD. This book gives a full-length view of the Lincoln’s Assassination. Another secondary source is William, H. Demotte, 1927. The assassination of Abraham Lincoln, Journal of the Illinois state historical society, (1908-1984). Vol20(3), pages 422-428. This Journal article gives a short summary of what happened during the Lincoln’s Assassination. Based on my research to date, I will try support the following thesis: while there was no motive to Lincoln’s Assassination, what was the purpose of Abraham Lincoln assassination, was it because of his polities on how he ran things, or because of the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863, or of the involvement of John Wilkes Booth. I plan to write this historical analysis for audience that are familiar with the history of Abraham Lincoln Assassination. This audience does not need much background about the Assassination itself, but more on the theory of the assassination. In writing for this audience, I plan to focus on the theory of the assassination and giving a understanding on why the assassination happened and why it happened. Without focusing to much on the assassination itself, which my audience is already familiar with, I will attempt to make a better understanding of the assassination for the audience to have a better viewpoint on this event. For this audience, my message will be a clear understanding but perhaps a disappointing one: the issue was not that Abraham Lincoln polities was different on how he ran things; its the cause of his assassination and why the assassination occurred or for any other reason.
