According to Schumpeter, innovation includes significant changes in technology, products, and production methods that can bring about structural and revolutionary changes in the economy. Schumpeter argues that innovation not only creates new products and services, but also brings changes in new ways of production. Innovation can create new markets and replace existing products or services, thereby changing economic values significantly. According to Schumpeter, innovation also involves changes in how companies obtain funding, which can lead to changes in company structure. For example, new companies that are more innovative and adaptive may replace old companies that are unable to adapt quickly to market changes. Schumpeter argued that innovation occurs periodically, and when it occurs, innovation will disrupt the economic balance. Innovation can trigger economic progress and growth, but it can also result in structural changes that disrupt the status quo and cause economic uncertainty.
