It will further show the ways in which Alibaba innovations such as Taobao, Tmall, Alipay and Singles' Day are its pillar platforms that have disrupted the industries and new markets. Alibaba is already proving itself by innovating with initiatives such as Alibaba Cloud, Taobao and Alipay, but still there is room for improvement. As mentioned by Pastrana and Tobón (2020), training programs that 10 prepare employees for these new technologies will help the organization stay competitive in the market. Alibaba should also work to boost its organizational culture for more cooperation between its business segments. Since Alibaba has operations in e-commerce, cloud computing, logistics, and digital entertainment, better communication, knowledge-sharing and cross-functional collaboration are key to making internal activities work together seamlessly. With the cultivation of an agile, digital, connected, and flexible workforce, Alibaba will become a digital business force. Recommendations for service/organisational improvements Alibaba has always been in the lead of digital business, but there are some areas where it could be much better to ensure its services are competitive, user-friendly, and resilient. One of the things they should do better is make its digital infrastructure more secure as it has become a prime target for cyber attacks (Lehto, 2022). Alibaba currently handles billions of sensitive data from various services such as e-commerce, fintech (Alipay), and cloud computing therefore it is critical to put an emphasis on cutting-edge cybersecurity infrastructure. The increased strength of these defences will encourage consumers to trust more, enabling Alibaba to continue to expand its customer base worldwide without sacrificing privacy and security. The same goes for education, where Alibaba can leverage its cloud platform to provide online learning services including AI tutoring, virtual classrooms and e-learning in new markets. At the same time, Alibaba can consider further diversification to new geographic areas, especially in remote areas such as Africa and South America, where e-commerce still lies in its infancy.
