The bourgeoisie (capitalists) in sociology The bourgeoisie or capitalists are social groups that hold economic and political power in a capitalist society. They have control over capital and economic resources, and profit from the exploitation of labor. In sociology, the bourgeoisie is often seen as the most dominant social class in a capitalist society. The bourgeoisie emerged as the social group that held economic and political power in capitalist society in the 18th and 19th centuries. At that time, there was an industrial revolution that changed the pattern of production and made capitalism flourish. This social group held control over capital and economic resources, and benefited from the exploitation of labor. According to Marxist theory, the bourgeoisie has different interests from the proletariat. The bourgeoisie profits from the production and sale of goods, while the proletariat earns only small wages and has no control over capital and economic resources. Hence, there is conflict between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat in a capitalist society. In a capitalist society, the bourgeoisie has enormous economic power. They have control over the production, distribution and consumption of goods. In addition, they also have control over the mass media and politics. This power wielded by the bourgeoisie allows them to maintain their dominance in capitalist society. The bourgeoisie plays an important role in shaping the values and norms of capitalist society. Values such as individualism, competition and excessive consumption are promoted by the bourgeoisie to defend their economic interests. In addition, the bourgeoisie also influences education, culture and religion in capitalist societies. In a capitalist society, the bourgeoisie also plays an important role in politics. They have great influence in the political system and often make decisions that favor their own interests. The bourgeoisie also have control over the mass media and often use it to influence public opinion. The bourgeoisie also has an important role in shaping economic policy in a capitalist society. They influence government policies and often make decisions that favor their own economic interests. This often results in social injustice and a widening economic gap.
