ORGANIZATION OF GOVERNMENT 3.1 THEORY OF SEPARATION OF POWERS 3.1.1 MONTESQUIEU’S THEORY OF THE SEPARATION OF POWER. Montesquieu's theory of the separation of powers, also known as the doctrine of separation of powers, is a concept in political science that suggests dividing the powers of government among different branches to prevent the concentration of power in a single entity.
