You may use the Constitution included in your textbook. article Limited government republicanism Checks and balances section 1 1 9 2 1 7 quote “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus…may require it.” Rephrase in your own words His exemplifies limited government because it explains what the congress cannot do, in this case is no denial of habeas corpus. “The House of Representatives …Branch of the State Legislature.” This exemplifies republicanism because it explains how the house of representatives should be make up. This quote talks about how the leaders must be elected by the people and replaced every 2 years. It also explains how in order to make government decisions these representatives must have the qualifications to do so. “Every Order, Resolution, or Vote…in the Case of a Bill.” I believe this can pretty much exemplify check and balances because it states how even though the president can veto a bill passed by congress, congress can override the veto if 2/3 votes. federalism Separation of powers 1 8 1 “The Congress shall have… uniform throughout the United States” 7 “Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate…unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.” This exemplifies federalism because it explains how the congress can collect taxes. This is federalism because the power to collect taxes is divided between the federal and state government. This exemplifies the separation of powers because it states how the house of representatives and the senate which basically is the judicial power in order to pass a bill and before it becomes law, be presented to the president, which is executive power, and if the bill is not approved by the president, and then it is sent again to the president and it is not returned within 10 days it should become law. Popular sovereignty 2 1 “The executive Power…be elected, as follows” This quote exemplifies Popular sovereignty because it explains how the nation popular vote for the president. It basically talks about how first the legislative branch makes the laws, the executive carries them out and the judicial evaluates them.
