She pushed Bibi out of the way, shut off the stove and covered part of the flames with a towel. Then she reached inside the cupboard and took out a fire extinguisher. She struggled for a moment with the hose and pin, but eventually she put out the fire. "Mum!" Gloria's tone was a mixture of disbelief and rage. "Why would someone douse an oil fire with water? That's the last thing you should do, you know! Bibi appeared to be struggling to support herself as she stood shakily in the corner. She shook her head, appearing confused and upset. "There is a fire. You covered it with water. Gloria was clearly frustrated. You don't, that's true. I learned from you never to do that. You've always advised against using water and to use salt instead. It's possible that you set the home on fire!
