Branches of psychology Cognitive Psychology -Studies the mental processes associated with the acquisition, storage, manipulation and transformation of information obtained from the environment, as well as its use and communication -The main cognitive processes are attention, perception, memory, problem solving and process decisions etc. Biological Psychology -Focuses on the relationship between behavior and the physical system, including the brain and the rest of the nervous system, the immune system, and genetics. Neuropsychology -Psychologists and neuroscientists work together and study the role of neurotransmitters that are responsible for neuronal communication in different areas of the brain and the associated mental functions. -Extensive testing is carried out on people with properly functioning brains as well as those with brain injuries using advanced and latest technologies such as EEG, PET, etc. Developmental Psychology -Examines the physical, social, and psychological changes that occur at different stages of life, from conception to old age. Social psychology -This branch of psychology studies how the social environment influences people, how people perceive the world around them, and how they try to influence the people around them. -Topics such as prosocial behavior, attitude change and prejudice. This is an unusual hobby for social psychologists. Cultural Psychology -Emphasizes the role of culture in achieving a deep understanding of human behavior, thoughts, and emotions. -The main hypothesis of cultural psychology is that human behavior Environmental Psychology -Examines the interaction of physical factors such as temperature, humidity, pollution, and natural disasters on human behavior. -The influence of the physical organization of the workplace on health, the emotional state is part of environmental psychology. -Clinical psychology addresses the causes, treatment, and prevention of some of the most common mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. And chronic drug addictions. Psychological counseling -Psychological counseling aims to improve daily functioning by helping people solve their daily problems and cope effectively with difficult situations. Work/Organizational Psychology -This branch of psychology primarily deals with employees and the organization that employs them. They focus on training employees, improving working conditions and developing selection criteria for employees. Educational Psychology Focuses on how people of all ages understand and learn things.School psychologists primarily develop teaching methods and materials that serve to train people in educational and professional environments. Sports Psychology -Sports psychology focuses on the application of psychological principles to improve the performance of athletes.
