Informative speech outlines Speech Title: Diminishing of Reading General Purpose: To Inform Specific Purpose: To inform my audience with the importance of reading, and let them know the effect of technology on reader’s numbers. Thesis statement or central idea: Reading effect on our lives, why technology contributed to the fact that most people do not read, why we should read, and what is the reading effect on our personality. Introduction: Attention-Getting Device: I. Short story about how I started to love reading. II. Let my audiences participate and ask who loves reading? III. Give them some statistics about number of readers in the world comparing to technology users. Preview Main Points: We will explore reading importance, why people do not read like before, discuss the results of not reading, and discover solutions to make it easier for them to enjoy reading. Body: 1) Reading Importance a) Reading is our “brain food”; which improves our skills and performance. 1.
