The years 1939-1945 are seen as a champion among the most disturbing events ever. These years are known as World War II, an overall war among different nations which achieved pulverization and the affiliation, the United Nations. This battling began with the smart climb of a despot named, Adolf Hitler, who came into power in Germany with his Nazi convictions. In the midst of this dispute a film called, 'The Great Dictator', including the mainstream motion picture maker and humorist, Charlie Chaplin, was released in 1940. The film was a satire of Hitler and his Nazi benchmarks. Chaplin played two unmistakable characters, the dictator and a Jewish beautician who appeared to be undefined in appearance. In his speech in'The Great Dictator', Charlie Chaplin fights that people need to join to fight for a prevalent world. Chaplin's talk is influencing in light of the way that he adequately uses emotions to relationship with the social event of individuals (pathos), sets up unwavering quality by in regards to his gathering of spectators' understanding (ethos), and using steady reasoning (logos) to induce the group, all individuals and officers, that joining against despots will make opportunity and rapture for all individuals

Ethos is utilized in the discourse as one may note from the manner in which that Chaplin utilizes the idea of insatiability and qualification when alluding to the movement of the world and its innovation. A case of this is when Chaplin says, “Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed” (Chaplin). He also uses ethos to motivate the audience about soldiers. Chaplin proposes, “Soldiers: don’t give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you, who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you as cattle, as cannon fodder!” (Chaplin).

The speech also contains pathos while tending to his group of onlookers, the subjects and soldiers. Chaplin tells the people in the speech, “Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts. You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men!” (Chaplin). This is successful in joining the general population by symbolizing their rights through his words. “We think too much and feel too little more than machinery we need humanity” (Chaplin).

To motivate his topics and proposition to speak to the gathering of people, Chaplin utilizes pathos, logos, and ethos. Chaplin utilizes pathos to convey the speech. Initially, Chaplin talks smoothly. At that point, as he comes, he turns out to be progressively forceful. Chaplin utilizes logos in giving the statement “The kingdom of God is within man”. Finally, he utilizes ethos in that his character is an extraordinary dictator and 'emperor of the world'. This way, with the goal that individuals are progressively disposed to tune in.
