This being said, in order to achieve that particular purpose, it is must to set a goal. We can’t just go through the motion of something without knowing where we want to go. Therefore, we have to map out our goals in life, no matter what they are. Once these goals are set, the next step is to work hard until you achieve them. Determination is an integral trait which helps us in achieving our goals. In this essay, I am going to write about some of my short-term and long-term goals and how I am going to achieve them.
To begin with my short-term goals, firstly, I want to reduce my weight like any other obese person. It is a difficult but not impossible task that requires determination, persistence and motivation. Here is the plan on how I am going to achieve this goal. The first step I am going to do is get rid of all the junk food in my house as it is the primary source of extra calories and start eating healthy foods. I must stay away from foods that contain excess carbohydrates as they are hard to break down which makes it more difficult to burn them. The next and the most important step in losing weight is exercise. Eating healthy only allows you to minimize your calorie intake but in order to burn those calories you must exercise. I will set up a workout schedule and try to follow it persistently. This will help me lose weight faster than anytime. I plan to start off with light workout schedule and increase it step by step. Studies show that regular exercise has more benefits than the other ways and it will help us to increase self-confidence, reduce stress levels and also prevent a lot of diseases that accompany obesity.

Now coming to one of my long-term goals, I get really excited just by the idea of coding. So, basically, I want to learn coding. Now how am I going to achieve this goal? Like any other goal, I need to set up a schedule as to how much time I am going to give this task every day. My plan is to dedicate 2 hours every day for coding. The next step is to practice. The best way to learn is to learn by doing. And not just doing it again and again, but challenging myself with a task that is beyond my current ability, trying it, analyzing my performance and correcting my mistakes, if any. I also plan to surround myself around other programmers and work with them on different projects and learn from them. In order to be a perfect coder, I should be able to learn at least half a dozen programming languages.
