Introduction To Object Oriented Programming Object Oriented Programming is a programming paradigm that uses the concept of objects as the basic unit of program construction. In Dart, OOP includes concepts such as classes, objects, inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism. The advantage of using Object Oriented Programming is that it is easy to fix if there are bugs or issues in the code, then it is easy to reuse. Class Classes define the attributes (variables) and methods (functions) that objects can have. To create a “class” requires the class keyword then given a name and the details of the “class” are placed in curly braces, the name of a class must also begin with a capital letter. Example: class Vehicle { //property //method } Objects Objects are instances or results of creating a class. Objects have attributes and methods defined by their class, also called an instance of class Example : void main() { var v1 = Vehicle(); var v2 = Vehicle(); var v3 = Vehicle(); } Property A "property" is a characteristic of a class, is something that belongs to a class, and has properties like a variable. Property is inside a class that is inside curly brackets. Example: class Vehicle { var type = ''; var color = ''; } How to access property: //property class Vehicle { var type = ''; var color = 'black'; } //access the property void main() { var v1 = Vehicle(); print(v1.color); } image 1 output property access Method Is the nature of the class has properties such as functions and is an activity that will be executed by a class. Method is inside a class that is inside curly brackets.
