The Role of LSD1 in OSCC and Its Application in Chemo and Immunotherapy Materials / Methods Introduction • • • Findings have shown that genetic alterations, including upregulation of LSD1, are seen in OSCC. This study aims to evaluate mechanism of LSD1 and determine if inhibition of LSD1 has preventative and/or therapeutic applications for OSCC. • 8 Groups of mice were given 4NQO in their drinking water to cause dysplasia / OSCC At Week 14, mice were treated with various immunotherapy treatments (SP2509, Verteporfin, Anti PD-1, Anti PD-L1) alone and in combination. At Week 24, mice were sacrificed and tongue harvested for histology, immunostaining and qPCR. Michael Diny, Faiza Ali, Manish V. Bais Conclusion - SP2509 does not inhibit OSCC alone but in combination with YAP inhibitor, shows efficient OSCC inhibition - LSD1 regulates tumor immune microenvironment and sensitizes to anti-PD-1 and anti-Pd-L1 antibody immunotherapy
