Role of Actors in Sustainable Development Presentation Review Introduction (1) • The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by all UN member states in 2015 and in subsequent years were elaborated into national development strategies at various levels. • Sustainable development (SD) is context-specific and its implementation depends on the unique conditions of a particular place or region, and the initiatives of local communities (Moallemi et al., 2019). • Thus, the general principles of the SDGs represent the general framework, regionally relevant strategies need to be considering local resources, as well as existing opportunities and constraints. • Therefore, the general goals and principles of sustainable development are "translated" into concrete actions or activities that fit within the sustainability framework, which in this perspective needs to highlight the roles of the various actors involved and relevant. Multi-Stakeholder Initiative (MSI)- 1 • Collaboration of multinational companies, civil society organizations and government are critical to implementing sustainable development. • Multi-stakeholder initiatives are considered a solution to bring different actors together to protect the environment and manage development. • Seeing the potential, constraints and importance of the development concept, it demands a partnership between development actors. • This is because the government has limitations, including limitations in terms of intellectual resources, market networks, and finance.
