Mexico is a North American country the has a relative location which starts by being connected
to the United States from the west by California, Arizona, New Mexico, then moving east it is
connected by Texas. Mexico is bordered in the southeast by Belize, Guatemala, and the
Caribbean Sea. The west and south by the Pacific Ocean and by the Gulf of Mexico to the east.
The accessibility of the U.S. to Mexican immigrants is attractive due to U.S. location. It is
relatively close to their home country, friend, family, and what they have called their home for
most their lives in some cases. The sometimes-falsified belief that United States is going to be
a land that will solve a lot of their problems that pushed them out of their home country in the
first place is a big driving factor (National Immigration Forum, 2019).
The people will think that it is so unbearable in their country that they will try to come to
the neighboring country to save their own lives or the lives of their loved one. It is unfortunate
that many times it results in their own death during their crossing into the U.S. or they arrive and
all the risk and money they pay is lost because they are immediately sent back. In some cases,
people can come to the U.S. and find work and safety that helps them to give to their families
still stuck in a bad way in their country. There is such a real threat of crime, poverty, and
unemployment in their country that they have a real and true fear for their lives and their loved
ones lives that they are pushed out of their country. The cartel is in control of their country in
many ways. They have corrupted political influences, police, and government in their country so
the U.S. with its convenient location and opportunities may feel like it is pulling them to it. Many
feel they have no choice and would risk anything to escape their country because if they stay it
will be a life of struggle and or certain death.
