Topic: Analysis of EDM results collected in the previous week Aim: Discuss the results of the measurements and a little more on how EDM works and how it differs from GPS distance measurements Discussion The project solution is on the assignments section in PDF format. (In some browsers the symbols do not show up correctly) The solution to the project was done in Matlab using Proj_3_05.m and we will run through this code. The basic aim of this class to cover the use of propagating EM waves to make distance measurements with: (a) Pulses (simplest concept) of timing the length of time a pulse takes to go to and return from a target (b) Use of phase measurements by changing modulation frequency.
