Identify a possible primary audience of the text: The main points of the article discuss why taking breaks is
important. This article emphasises the detrimental effects that stress leaves has on people. They go into the importance
of relaxing and having breaks. It can improve not only mental health but physical as well. This text article was meant
for those audiences who happen to struggle with stressors and other inconveniences in their personal life.
Identify other possible audiences for the text: The text article is also useful for those who need more of an
understanding on stress. There are those who deal with little to no stress and can really closed minded towards those
who do not cope with it well. The article can help the audiences who do not understand it too much and pass the
information along their peers. If there is those that people know who do not deal with stress well can give them helpful
tips on dealing with stress in a healthy manner. They can really stress the importance of needing to take breaks and the
practice of self care.
Explain why both possible audiences (primary and other) are appropriate regarding the genre of the text: Almost all
audiences can benefit from a read like this. We all know someone or personally ourselves who need to understand why
it is imperative take breaks and practice self care. There are those who spend their waking moments in go mode and it
is not healthy. Your brain needs to be in relaxation mode at times otherwise it gets overworked. This is a message that
can be received or spread.

Both audiences are fully capable of educating themselves on the topic if writing about it is what they choose to do.
Personally each individual knows someone who desperately needs to practice self care or practice self care themselves.
Describe how the writer attracts and guides the audience: The author is very descriptive in the way she writes the
article and approaches the topic. What really makes the audience feel guided is the facts being brought up in the article
is backed up by a running hospital. The audience can feel assured that the facts being written are credited by
professionals in the subject. There are those also seeking solace and needing advice on handle their stress. It a real
comfort knowing that you can find advice on what to do when you can not handle your stressors.
