Unite Vocabulary summary: ● Sensation: the operation or function of the senses; perception or awareness of stimuli through the senses. a mental condition or physical feeling resulting from stimulation of a sense organ or from internal bodily change, as cold or pain. ● Perception: is the organization, identification, and interpretation of sensory information in order to represent and understand the presented information or environment. ● Bottom-up processing: can be defined as sensory analysis that begins at the entry-level—with what our senses can detect. ● Top-down processing: In top-down processing, perceptions begin with the most general and move toward the more specific.
