LSAT PREP Sage Training – Week 7 Introduction to Logic Games Logic Games Introduction:    What are logic games? o They test your ability to read very carefully and draw inferences. o They are hard, superficial difficulties. How to approach Logic Games: o Torrent of Information:  Sort through it and establish order. o Understand in precise detail. o Translate into visual language. o Make inferences.  Make as many as you can.  Quickly and possibly. Logic games is analytical reasoning. o Game board  Determine how to draw the game board.  Often in the first paragraph. o Game pieces.  Where you place pieces.  Often in the first paragraph. o Game Rules.  Interaction and relationship between the game pieces and game board.  They tell you where the pieces go and what happens if placed in certain spots. Types of Logic Games:    Sequencing Games: o Put things in order. o Line up your items. o Example:  Socrates is older than Aristotle, who is younger than Plato. Grouping Games: o When items can be grouped together. o Example:  Mencius can go to the zoo with Confucius or Laozi but not Xunzi. Hybrid Games: o You sequence and group items at the same time. How a Game is Setup: Setup – The Pieces    Huge number of possible worlds, numbers of scenarios. First part is the setup, the paragraph of information.
