“Sometimes the “Tough Teen” Is Quietly Writing Stories”
The author of this text reflects that young people can be tough and cruel at times. I have
found proof in the text that verifies that the author thinks this way. The proof is the
following: “Guys who read books -especially for pleasure- were soft”. They are not
really soft, but since the vast majority of young people don't read, they treat him or her
like weird, like they are doing something that is not right and make them look soft.
I agree with the author when he says that reading improved his father's mood and
changed his life. I completely agree that reading helps you learn and makes you grow as
a person, I can affirm this because I have personally verified it. Reading has helped me
to grow as a person and to be more satisfied with myself.
In my opinion, the author forgets to mention that young people are hard on those who
do things that most people do not do. So, these people who, in my view are courageous
in showing their own personality, are a victim to the young masses.
Honestly, I do not think the author's message has any explicit meaning. I think the
author clearly shows the message he wants to get across to the reader and I think he
explains it all quite well. I do not think he needs to correct anything about how he has
explained the message to the readers. In addition, I always believe that he has correctly
supported his message with clear evidence and examples from his own person and
personal life, as for example when he speaks of his father.
In conclusion, I agree with the author's message, and I really liked the way he expressed
it. He has not left any explanation up in the air at any time and everything he has argued
has made sense.
