▢ A system is any kind of entity that is made up of parts that interact. System thinking- A way to maximize program effectiveness. For my system, I am using my morning routine to get up and water my garden before it gets too hot outside from the morning sun. My system starts the night before when I set my alarm to get me up the next morning. My alarm goes off at the set time. I reach over to my nightstand and turn it off before it wakes my wife up. I get up, brush my teeth, wash my face, put on some clothes and head downstairs to the kitchen. In the kitchen, while I am getting my pot of coffee going I’m also filling up the watering cans and getting my gardening equipment ready. I go to my backyard and sip my coffee for a little while admiring my work. Then the watering begins. I like to water my plants early in the morning around 7:30 am-8 am. System main parts include- User which is me, an alarm clock to wake me up in time, coffee to get me ready for the day, gardening equipment to water the garden. The feedback loop could be the user forgetting to set the alarm to the correct time (which has happened I set it for PM instead of AM). Another would be the alarm clock not being loud enough to wake me. Neither would be serving the purpose of getting me up in time to water my garden. It’s important because if you water while it’s too hot outside it could damage the roots of your plants.
