Using the regression equation: y = 5(5.5) + 45 = 27.5 + 45 = 72.5 The predicted exam score is 72.5. Comparing this to actual data, for 5 hours the score is 75 and for 6 hours the score is 80, so 72.5 for 5.5 hours fits well within the expected range. In conclusion, this linear regression model effectively describes the relationship between study time and exam performance, allowing reasonable predictions that can guide students.
