UTILIZATION OF DIGITAL SYSTEMS IN THE COVID-19 As we know, almost all countries in this hemisphere are currently experiencing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus that originated in Wuhan City, China, began to spread rapidly throughout the world. Of course, this has had a very bad impact on health, economy, social, politics and even education. In Indonesia itself, the impact that is most felt is in the economic sector. The industries affected by COVID-19 include the automotive manufacturing industry, garment industry, tourism industry and others. Compared to economic problems, the problem that is really felt by the community is in the health sector. How could it not be, because of COVID-19, people cannot carry out activities as usual. This is certainly a big problem for the government and also the Indonesian people themselves. Therefore, the Indonesian government issued several policies such as social distancing. On the other hand, the situation of this pandemic brings some positive impacts to the life of society. This pandemic situation forces society to take a new leap into the digital system. Everything that is usually done directly changes by using an online system. Several activities such as lectures and work change using an online system using supporting applications. This is certainly a positive thing, because Indonesian society should follow the development of the industrial revolution 4.0. Indonesian society, which was initially far behind in using digital systems, is slowly starting to experience changes. In the transaction process, the corona pandemic seems to force us to use digital/non-cash transactions. Bank Indonesia itself also appeals to the public to use non-cash transactions. Bank Indonesia has imposed a Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) QR Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) of zero percent so that traders and micro businesses are not subject to transaction fees. In addition, there are also other benefits such as, using the QRIS method can increase turnover for sellers because this transaction is trending in the use of transactions by the younger generation. Then, QRIS also reduces the difficulty of providing small change for change. Judging from the benefits above, using digital transactions will help increase micro and small businesses in the community and also help the community to be able to keep up with the development of the industrial revolution 4.0. Moving on to the field of Education, it seems that this field has also been seriously affected by COVID-19. So many routine activities that are usually carried out such as faceto-face meetings in class, forum meetings and seminars have been hampered. These various activities have been hampered in order to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, the Indonesian government has also begun to recommend the use of online learning (e-learning) methods. The use of digital systems in learning is the best way for education in Indonesia to continue running smoothly. The presentation of this web-based online learning system (e-learning) is more interactive and borderless, this is what allows learning and lecture activities to be carried out effectively and efficiently. However, this invites some controversy in the community. The reason is, not all students in Indonesia have electronic media and adequate internet networks. Little by little the Indonesian government has begun to provide assistance in the form of a budget to help students follow the learning system. However, in my opinion (as the author of this article), this budget is still minimal and has not reached all students in Indonesia. However, behind all that, there are more benefits that students get by using this e-learning media. By using this method, students and teachers can save costs, all universities or schools do not need to spend money to buy paper, pens, or expedition costs. In addition, the learning method using this digital system can save time, and is also environmentally friendly. With this online learning system, it can also help Indonesia catch up with the industrial revolution 4.0 system. The use of digital systems in the COVID-19 pandemic can increase the literacy rate of the Indonesian people. The literacy rate in Indonesia is still low compared to other countries. Riana Sari as the keynote speaker in the Lampung Communication and Information Service webinar said that the use of digital systems to increase the level of literacy can be done if parents of the younger generation intervene directly. The role of parents here is very important in accompanying the family literacy process. The requirement to implement social distancing forces the entire community to stay at home. By staying at home, parents can directly accompany and even get involved in increasing literacy. The role of parents here is to supervise children so that they do not fall into negative things due to the widespread use of this digital system. The last and will be the conclusion of this article is the use of digital systems as a medium for disseminating news about COVID-19. The role of digital systems in dealing with this pandemic is very large, with this digital system the Indonesian people can find out the latest information about COVID-19. It can be concluded that there are actually many positive impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. As long as we can sort out the good and bad, I am sure Indonesia can achieve technological and educational lag with other countries when the COVID-19 pandemic strikes.
