Making your own clouds
Once you have gotten all of the materials, you can get started!!!
Steps:
1. Think about what kind of cloud you want to make on paper. You can make a
beautiful spring day with big, round, fluffy cumulous clouds; or you can make a chilly
fall day with low, flat stratus clouds. Make it unique.
2. Lay out your construction paper. You can use white construction paper for any sort
of day, red paper for a sunset, gray paper for a storm, or blue paper for a clear day.
Be creative.
3. To form your clouds, turn to the back of the Cloud Dance, or picture a cloud in your
mind.
For cirrocumulus clouds, pull the cotton balls apart to make them thin and
patchy. These clouds occur high in the sky, so be sure to place them high on
your paper.
For cumulonimbus clouds, use several whole cotton balls for each formation.
You can even glue them on top of each other. These clouds belong high in the
sky.
Cumulus clouds are the same shape as cumulonimbus clouds, but these clouds
belong low in the sky.
For Stratus clouds, pull one cotton ball in a straight line and glue it from one
end of the paper to the other. Stratus clouds occur low in the sky.
4. Use the glue and squirt a thin layer onto your paper. Spread it around with your
finger.
5. Place the cotton balls on the glue and wait patiently for it to dry.
6. Lastly, now you can draw in your day. Use your crayons to draw any picture you like.
It can be of yourself, your family, where you live, or your favorite activity to do
outside.
