Celeste Headlee's talk on the art of conversation evokes a strong sense of self-reflection and a deep appreciation for the power of effective communication. It prompts me to consider how often we engage in conversations without truly listening or understanding, especially in our fastpaced, digital world. As a citizen, I am acutely aware of the implications of this. In an era of polarized and heated debates, Headlee's message serves as a timely reminder that productive discourse is essential for a healthy democracy. Her emphasis on honesty, brevity, clarity, and active listening aligns with the principles of civil discourse and respectful disagreement.
