Stakeholders Customers Employees Management Company Owners WH Framework Ethical Decision That Should be Made Customers should be notified of a data breach as soon as possible to ensure they are aware of any fraudulent charges/chance of identity theft. Employees should be aware of data breach and steps that are being taken in case of any questions they receive from customers. They should also be notified in case their sensitive information was included in the breach which could cause identity theft. Management should be alerted of a data breach and steps that are being taken so they can cascade the information to all employees and answer any questions from customers/employees. IT management should alert the company owner(s) of any data breach immediately so the appropriate steps can be taken. Company Owner should immediately begin the process of notifying all necessary stakeholders and ensuring the breach has been rectified. The advantages of this framework are it is a quick list showing what all business stakeholders should know/do during a data breach, the shortcoming is it is not as detailed as it should be so communication to the employees will be crucial. This framework could be useful for this company because it is a small business and shows a plan for stakeholders involved. Using this framework, Steve would have known to immediately notify the owner and the appropriate action could have been taken.
