LSAT PREP Sage Training – Week 7 Some, Most, Many, Few, Several Some:  Much broader word.  Could include many or all.  Indicator Words: Few, Many, a couple, once in awhile, sometimes  Means at least one, possibly all Example:  Some of your friends are coming over to watch the games. o This could mean all friends, could mean at least 1 friend. Few:  Two or more.  In a small group, few could mean majority. Not likely in larger groups. Example:  Seven people at a dinner party, few of them are republicans. o Few could mean two, three, four, of them. Many:  Large number  Exact number is not known.  Dependent on size.  Many implies some. Example:  Nine person party. o Many is: 5, 6, 7, 8 Several:  Three or more.  Less than many. Example:  Several partygoers out of a group of nine were intoxicated. o Several = 3 or 4 people. Most:  51% or higher (1/2 + 1)  Indicator Words: Almost all, more than, half, majority  Most always implies some.  Includes the possibility of all. Example  Most college students enjoy eating Tacos. o More than ½ of college students enjoy eating tacos. All:  Implies most and implies some.  Any, all, every, only – there is no other quantifiers under all.  Universal quantifier.  All is a point = 100% Example:  All college students enjoy eating Tacos. o Everyone likes eating tacos.
