PATIENT-CENTERED CARE Nursing Care Educate on possible side effects of medication like weight gain, agitation, dizziness, sedation, and sleep disruption. Abrupt cessation of medications can cause withdrawal effects. Treat anticholinergic effects like keeping good oral hygiene. Stress the importance of adherence to medication, self-care, and therapies like psychotherapies and support groups. Therapeutic Procedures Treatment is usually lifelong and often involves a combination of medications, psychotherapy, and coordinated specialty care services.
