Cell Unit Cells are a basic unit of the human body where each organ is an aggregation or union of various types of cells united to each other by the support of intercellular structures. Type of cell is specialized to perform a specific function, for example red blood cells with number 25 trillion that function to transport oxygen from the lungs to the tissues. Oxygen bound to carbohydrates, fats or proteins in each cell is useful for releasing energy which functions to convert food into energy, then each cell releases the final results of its reaction into the fluid in it. Basically, all cells have the ability to reproduce so if certain cells are damaged the other similar cells will regenerate. Cells in human body have a basic structure consisting of a cell membrane, protoplasm and cell nucleus which this three have a chemical composition consisting of water, electrolytes, proteins, fats, carbohydrates. The cell protoplasm consists of a body located in the middle, namely the nucleus, and cytoplasm or the rest of the protoplasm which has a nucleus. Cytoplasm consists of several important elements as follows. Mithochondria, which are small sticks that are closely related to the catabolic or respiratory processes of the cell body. The Golgi apparatus, like channels, is located near the nucleus, and is involved in activities release of secretions from cells. The basic cytoplasm, the highly complex colloidal material in which all other structures are submerged, is primarily responsible for the anabolic or synthetic activities of the cell. The centrosome, a small portion of the dense cytoplasm, is located close to the nucleus. Has an important role in cell breakdown. Cell membrane, cell skin is not a dead membrane. Many important functions are associated with it, but in particular it acts as a selective filter that allows certain substances to enter the cell or prevents others from entering. Thus, it is an important part of maintaining the proper chemical composition (arrangement) of protoplasm. The nucleus consists of a more compact (dense) mass of protoplasm, separated from the cytoplasm by the nuclear membrane, which also acts as a selective filter, allowing material to leave the nucleus to enter the cytoplasm, or enter it. The nucleus controls the cell and all its activities. Without a nucleus the cell will die.
