THE CARBON CYCLE Carbon is the basic of life on earth. Scientists consider 99.9% of all organisms on the earth to be carbon based Corhon Cycle is the process where carbon compounds. are interchanged among the biosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere of the earth. In other words the circulation and recycling of carbon form the atmosphere to living. organism and after their death back to the atmosphere is called the Corben Cycle. Carbon is the basic constituent of all organisms and organic compound. The source of nearly all carbon found. in the living organism is carbon dioxide which is found in three state in atmosphere. The green plants (producer) tise corbon dioxide through photosynthesis in presence of Sunlight and carbohydrate is formed. Later on complex fat and polysacharides. are formed in plants which are utilized by animals. Flesh eating animals (carnivores) Peed on herbivores and the carbon compounds are again digested and converted into the other forms. Carbon in the atmosphere is present in the form of corbon dioxide and carbon released to the atmosphere directly os carbon dioxide in respiration of both plants and animals. It enters to the atmosphere through a natural process such as industrial application such as burning fossil fuels.
