Elements/Components in Network Planning a. Elements/Components of Network Planning Data Rusland Archigreen explained that there are several basic data that are elements of Network Planning, including: 1) A logical sequence of work must be arranged, such as what work must be completed first before other work begins, and what work then follows it. 2) Estimated completion time for each job, usually using the average time based on observations. It is different if the project is new, then a time allowance will be given. 3) Costs to accelerate each job, the use of which is to accelerate work on the critical path to support faster project completion. Such as overtime costs, costs of adding manpower, and so on. 4) Resources owned, such as manpower, equipment (machines), and materials needed. b. Elements/Components of Network Planning Diagram Symbols Rusland Archigreen in his scientific work entitled Network Planning and Hafnidar A. Rani (2016: 40-41) also explained the elements of symbols used in Network Planning to describe Network Diagrams. No. 1. Symbols Information Arrow, the shape is an arrow which means that the activity/action is a job/task with completion that requires a certain duration/time period and certain resources (manpower, equipment, materials, and costs). 2. Node/Event, a round circle shape which means that the incident, event or occurrence is the beginning or end of one or more activities. 3. Double Arrow, The shape is a parallel arrow which means Activities on the Critical Path. 4. Dummy, the form is a broken arrow which means that pseudo activities/activities are not activities/activities but are considered activities/activities that do not require a certain duration/time period and resources.
